Every year, people take a holiday to get away from the noise and rush of city life, flooding resorts and crowding vacation spots that hardly offer any more space or privacy than they places the left. Why escape the city and crowd only to land in a different place along with everyone else who is trying to "get away from it all"? Time to take a look at the top secluded vacation spots in the UK.

1. Glenuaig Lodge, Scottish Highlands

It used to be a Victorian hunting lodge. Now it has its own renewable power source with all the amenities a family needs. You are thirty minutes away from civilization, the valley around you is wide open, and it's all yours.

2. The Dash, Keswick, Cumbria

This stone farmhouse is next to Whitewater Dash waterfall, with Lakeland scenery all around and the fourth-highest peak in England located in perfect view of the farmhouse. Located a couple kilometers from the nearest public road, you can enjoy the view without sharing it.

3. Black Sail Youth Hostel, Ennerdale, Cumbria

For hostel accommodations and an extraordinary mountain view, this is a simple place to stay for an affordable price. You will have to choose, however, between two rooms sleeping four or a dormitory sleeping eight. There is a restaurant with evening meals.

4. Purton Green, Suffolk

For a touch of history, you can stay in a medieval central hall that dates from 1250. This is all that survives from a "lost village," and now you can enjoy the fantastic views. A wheelbarrow is provided for moving your luggage the 400 metres from your car.

5. Ropehawn, Trenarren, Cornwall

If you would enjoy a stay at a private lakefront property, this abandoned fisherman's home is very secluded without any other property in sight. The lake provides an excellent swimming spot and a row boat for exploring. Access is only by boat or down a steep, 200 metre path from the nearest road. If you need anything, St. Austell is only four kilometers miles away.

6. The Temple, Badger, Shropshire

For a romantic escape, this small cottage has a spectacular view with forty acres of countryside to explore. With an elegant sitting room and a colonnaded balcony, this is the perfect place for a couple to get away.

Quite simply, you don't have to rush away from the crowded city to meet the crowds who are away on holiday. Nor do you have to give up comfort to find seclusion or pay a fortune. You can find excellent hotel deals if you look for them, and these rel=nofollow [http://www.lastminute.com/site/travel/hotels/deals/top-secret.html]topsecret hotels are guaranteed to be some of the most memorable places you have ever stayed.
